The Kemp's ridley (Lepidochelys kempi) is the smallest, most vulnerable and endangered of all sea turtle species in the world. Their entire population nests on the Mexican beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. Ocean Trust is working with Mexican and US scientists to restore these turtles by protecing the Kemp's ridley nests and turtle hatchlings. If we can keep this effort going, the turtles may be removed from the endangered species list in the next five to eight years.
Your support is an opportunity to help restore this population. As the turtle is connected to its' shell or home, we too are connected to this planet. By sponsoring a hatchling release for yourself or as gift to someone else, you become part of the circle of life within all of nature.
With every $10 tax-deductible donation made through our Release-A-Hatchling program, we will release a hatchling in your name or the name of family members or friends.
Give the gift of releasing new life in the ocean and bring good fortune to your own journey.
